About Us

About Us

I Want To Help Africa is a grassroots level organization, located in Claremont, California, that was founded in 1998.  The mission of the organization is to empower African peoples in Zimbabwe and Zambia by offering a conduit of resources for African-initiated projects related to education, quality of life, and environmental needs.

Our organization is entirely volunteer run and operated.  Through relationships in Africa, I Want To Help Africa operates a well-established network of local Africans that ensure goods shipped from the USA and Canada are actually received. In this way, we can guarantee that donations are efficiently and effectively used by the people who most need them. We support programs organized by Africans for Africans. The idea is that Africans know best what they need.
